Through regulatory simulations and forecasts, TBG helps its clients anticipate, identify, and assess the impact of possible legislative and rulemaking activity. PUBLIC AFFAIRS ACCOMPLISHMENTS

A major home improvement chain attempted to secure the rights to open a new location. However, in an unusual move that gravely threatened our client’s goals, the legislature passed a bill to seize the location by eminent domain. TBG worked with the Governor's office and the business community to create awareness of the negative implications on the business climate in Massachusetts by the legislative act. TBG secured a veto by the Governor in a major success for our client!
During the complicated merger of two major teaching hospitals – one private and the other public – TBG developed a sophisticated strategy to secure both legislative and executive support. With the granted approvals and the merger completion, TBG helped to create one of Boston’s preeminent medical facilities.
A major financial services company relied upon TBG's legislative planning skills to successfully secure a multi-million dollar relief statute for the mutual fund industry.
A professional association hired TBG to help secure legislative relief from an onerous tort law system. TBG developed an effective legislative program for our client that achieved the desired exemptions and significant public policy reform for their members.
TBG worked with a major developer who was constrained by water access statutes. The statutes inequitably restricted the size of a planned project. With TBG's efforts, the development site received a first-of-its-kind exemption from the statutes, ensuring our client's ability to meet their business goals.
A segment of the REIT Industry and for-profit developers in Massachusetts were gravely concerned with legislation that would have significantly restricted Massachusetts "affordable" housing development. Working with a number of large REITs and other developers, a coalition was created that successfully fought back major changes to Massachusetts "anti-snob" zoning statutes that would have limited multi-unit residential real estate development.
TBG executives developed and managed successful real estate programs for a broad range of clients for more than a decade.
